Wharton A.M.P. XXX

The Mangueira is a social project which was set up to help disadvantaged members of the local society and is sponsored by businesses and affiliated to the local samba school. It provides education, life and work skills, medical care and a safe haven for people of all ages: children, expectant mothers, teenagers looking to develop skills so that they can find work, indeed all members of the local community.

The project is a very powerful and indeed critical part of the local community as it gives people the chance to achieve, many of whom otherwise would be faced with a very bleak future.

Both Anamaria and Estela have been actively involved in the project through their respective employers and it is so important that the good work continues. To do this there is a constant need for funding and AMPXXX has raised monies to help the cause - to-date over $2300. We will be discussing with Anamaria, Estela and the Project Director the best way of using this financial support.
